About
Amy Ullan
Amy Ullan joined Valley View Dermatology in 2001 as a Physician Assistant. She earned her degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the Oregon Health and Science University. Prior to that, Amy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Oregon State University. Amy enjoys her active role as a preceptor/mentor for PA students from OHSU, George Fox, and Pacific University.
Amy was drawn to dermatology because it allowed her to treat patients of all ages, allowing her to build longitudinal and generational patient relationships. Additionally, Amy was fascinated by the manner in which dermatological practice combines the medical and procedural aspects of healthcare to immediately improve a patient’s quality of life. In her practice, Amy is centrally committed to developing strong relationships with her patients. She fervently believes in the importance of educating patients and knows that when patients better understand their skin conditions and treatment options, more efficient and personalized medical decisions can be made as a team. Amy aspires for all of her patients to feel respected, heard, and involved in their care.
Outside of the clinic, Amy usually spends her time with her fantastic husband or two very busy children. When she’s not with them, Amy can be found in the mountains. She is a trail running fanatic and has many marathons and ultra-marathons under her belt. She is also an avid baker and loves to bake for her friends and family. Amy is a licensed and certified Physician Assistant.
