About Dr. Chadwick
As a member of the Valley View Dermatology staff since 2014, Dr. Preston Chadwick earned his doctorate degree from Drexel University College of Medicine before completing his dermatology residency at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Chadwick has received his Board Certification in Dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology.
Dr. Chadwick was initially pulled to dermatology due to its immense diversity. He especially enjoyed the ability to practice surgical dermatology in one moment, and medical dermatology—with all of its complicated evaluation and diagnosis—in the next. Additionally, a memorable patient encounter led Dr. Chadwick to develop expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of erythropoietic protoporphyria. Since 2019, he has been actively involved in expanding this portion of his practice. Philanthropically, Dr. Chadwick volunteers his time with consultation services and dermatological outreach in the African nation of Burundi, and, since 2018, he has been a member of the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) sports medicine advisory committee where he helps address issues regarding athletes, particularly wrestlers, and dermatological conditions. Dr. Chadwick’s treatment philosophy is rooted in open and transparent discourse. He believes in starting honest dialogues with his patients to work together toward the best diagnosis and treatment plans for their unique and individualistic needs.
Perhaps as diverse as Dr. Chadwick’s clinical expertise are his hobbies outside of work. At any moment, you might find Dr. Chadwick spending time with his family, including a wife and two boys, playing sports, skiing, traveling, cooking and baking, or immersing himself in movies and history.
